BT Strange thing HELP

My phoneline is dead but i am still able to connect the internet (broadband) When i pick up my fone i get no dial tone so no 1 can ring me and i cnat ring them. I have checked all the fones and they are all ok. The internet is working very strange. Any 1 no what to do is it bt causeing the prob??

Hi ring BT and they will ring you back on a mob number if required. They will run a test on your line to see where the problem is.

you can report faults online via the www.bt.com site

broadband and telephone take 2 different routes at the exchange...it's probably there

thanks i reported it on bt website and my line is working now.

Broadband or ADSL actually only works 1 wire from the exchange whereas your telephone requires 2 wires. So I would guess that one of those was broken between the exchange and your house.
