Welsh NHS Bursery

My daughter is starting an Occupational therapy degree in Cardiff in September.(we do not live in Wales)
If she takes the welsh nhs bursary and works for NHS Wales she will have her fees paid and a £1k grant each year. We earn too much to qualify for any more.
However she will only eligible for a reduced maintenance loan of2384 for 2 years and about 1800 for the 3rd years. This does not cover accommodation cost of over 4k let alone eating and drinking. Type of course with lots of placement hours mean working is probably out of the question.
Her alternative is take out normal student loan and not having to commit to working in Wales.
We fund her to some extent but not fully. With my son we bought his food and he was able to work

The loan and grant will fund her accommodation and you say you can buy her food. She may well be able to do some hours in term time with the hospital's nursing bank but otherwise she'll need to work and save in the holidays to cover her term time leisure costs.0
