Morning All
Welcome back Holly lovely to see you posting.
Had hoped to post during the week but had problems trying to do so on my phone, thought it was a password issue but looks like it was just me:o
Busy week at work an two bad nights of sleep meant I woke up late this morning, we have a friend visiting and they are now up but DH still in bed. Will give him a "gentle" nudge soon:rotfl:
Not sure on plans for today really need to get stuff done around the house. I have to say you all put me to shame on here when I hear what you all do but I will get there eventually. To be fair with all the poorlies in the family I have only been home 2 weekends in about the last 9.
Jackie have a great holiday.
Everyone have a lovely weekend, there is a strange thing in the sky (I think its called the sun lol) so will have to get out soon to enjoy some rays.
Take care

Holly, glad you are pampering yourself after your ordeal.
Dumpling, best wishes for you and Phoebe, I hope it all goes well for you.
We did the Ingleton waterfalls walk yesterday. You have to pay but it was worth it for 5 miles of dry walking and the waterfalls were spectacular after all the rain. Talking of which it's back again so we'll have a quiet day at home I think.0 -
Afternoon all.
Well after yesterdays shambles, today has been Mr Fix It's turn. We have been taking all the vertical blinds down and he has managed to demolish one and break another . However as there will be one spare blind ( we will have to get a longer one to fit the new patio doors ) I am hoping that we can work around the broken one. I have been an :A . No disasters for me today :rotfl:. ( yet ! )
This morning I stripped the bed but I will wait to wash the bedding till tomorrow, as we have had heavy rain this morning. It has stopped now so I have put another pair of curtains ( dining room ) in the WM. I don't know if they will dry if I hang them out, but at least they will get some fresh air.
This afternoon the downstairs has had a hoover through and I have also pushed the dust around.
I am waiting for the WM to finish and then I shall remake the bed. Later I'm going to have a long bubble bath.... because I'm worth it.
Tea tonight will be a spanish omelette as there are a few bits and pieces in the fridge that need using up.
TA sounds like you need a holiday/break, just to rest your shoulder you understand
Holly pampering is good for the body and mind. Enjoy your fish pie, it's sounds delicious.
Dumpling I shall be thinking of you on Monday and crossing my fingers that things turn out OK.
JackieO enjoy your break.
NRA :hello:. Lovely to see you posting again.
For those that think their posts are boring, dull or full of drivel, they are not ( well not to me anyway ). I for one enjoy reading about other peoples lives. I have enough drama/ problems in my day to day life, that a bit of "normality" brings me back down to earth. Thank you all.
Take care and hugs to all.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -

You brought back so many memories for me there! I once stayed in Ingelton with about seven friends for a walking weekend. We got a place which directly faced the aquaduct and had easy access to the town centre. It also had an outside loo which promptly became the man loo! We explored the huge caves and the waterfall. Great times!
Today I’ve been sitting the cafes of three supermarkets and a garden centre.. As it’s a bit late I’m staying over until tomorrow now. DM wasn’t too well this morning but after eating half my tea cake and drinking all of my tea she perked up. :rotfl:

Afternoon all,
sorry to hear that OH had a fall yesterday Csarina. I'm glad he is feeling better today.
Nannywindow i have a love/hate relationship with my vertical blinds. Every so often i put the soft furnishings attachment on my vacuum cleaner and dust the blinds best way i can but i really want to wash them. I know some people bung them in a pillowcase and chuck them in the washer on a handwash setting but i cant take the risk in case i ruin them. I would have to replace 4 blinds if i did. Grump would blow a fuse (and rightly so since the company i bought them off told me they werent washable).
Not long back from food shopping. I honestly dont know how it takes me nearly 4 hours to do a weekly shop of 2 stores. I'm absolutely shattered now ive put the stuff away. A quiet night in front of my pc tonight i think. I still havent caught up with Tuesdays Holby City.
Onwards and forwards,

Well I have totally run out of spoons after 4 consecutive busy days I am home and collapsed in my chair, time now to read through all of your posts today:D
Judi I only have one set of vertical blinds and they have to make do with an occasional vacuuming and a wipe down with a damp soapy cloth:o
Gers I hope that you enjoyed your portion of that teacake:rotfl:
Nannywindow your day leaves me feeling even more exhausted.
Snoozer it is a long time since OH and I did that walk, and sadly I will not be able to repeat it, but no one can take away my wonderful memories:D
OH has just reminded me that I promised to make him a sausage, apple and parsnip bake from a JO recipe in a book I borrowed, he has been such a star this week helping with extra garden chores that he really is worth it so will finish by saying thank you everyone for your chatty posts, best wishes to all and their loved ones who are below par for whatever reason and an extra hug for Holly, hope that you have had a good day.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
