Airport Lounge at Stansted

Hi, - my daughter and I have paid the grand sum of 4p between us to fly from Stansted to Limoges next month to visit friends.
I would like to use the airport lounge before the flight but according to the Stansted website this is not possible if you are flying Ryanair.
Can anyone confirm this for definite for me - I am assuming it is because of the location of the lounge but is it really impossible?

Ha! I like your style jcorby - that would be quite a gas flying as cheap as juicy fruit chews having lived it up in the VIP lounge

Perhaps one of your credit cards might include free or cheap access to one of the lounges? Or Airmiles or one of the other reward point schemes perhaps?

... and when you get in there, you can pin your Ryanair boarding card to your lapel

Due to ryanair having their own satellite at Stansted they have'nt got a lounge, unlike the other satellites that share the facilities.

We used a Heathrow airport lounge this year and using the special offer on my Egg card we only paid £18 for 4 of us. It was excellent value of course at that price, but when we go next year from Heathrow even though it is only 10% off using Egg, I shall still book as it is nice to relax in the lounge before a flight.
We are flying Virgin next year (holiday half paid for by Clubcard vouchers) and wonder if anyone knows what their lounges are like?

you won't be able to pay to use virgins lounges but would be able to book a generic lounge like you probably did before
