Is it possible that other people have filed similar complaints against the same lender?0

That's fine. Enjoy your work0 -

Well that's entirely possible!0 -

This is ridiculous - do we now need an ombudsman to look into the ombudsman these days?
Hi beelzebomb, just a thought, have you actually complained to the finance company and had their final response and then referred your case to the Ombudsman, or have you complained about the finance company directly to the Ombudsman without putting a formal complaint into the finance company first?0 -

That is why you have a second option, if you feel so strongly you can go to court yourself - if a fairly small sum start a moneyclaimonline.
I know once upon a time I did - I wasn't greedy and got the over interest back of £70 plus the court fee which at time was £25 - it took no more then 6 weeks in total.
Another claim saw the loan company get a solicitor involved, nonetheless, I was still fully heard out and settled at £100 received back, again only few weeks later. OK the solicitor fee's for the client were probably more then £100so there are other ways to see it.
Sadly I think people put to much thought into the likes of the FCA, FOS only being able to save the day. The truth is there to large to care. If you can get hold of some similar cases the FOS have dealt with, that can also be an eye opener.0
