You need to do an SOA to enable anyone to help you..sorry but i am suspicious of anyone who has a good job, earns lots of money and then
N asks for someone else to pay for a basic need ie a matress and a chair.
I beleive a link has already been posted for you to complete.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Place wanted ad for bed & mattress locally e.g on supermarket customer ad board or at local newsagents saying its for person with disability. Sometimes people may be willing to deliver locally just to declutter and happy someone locally is benefiting
Teamwork means.......never having to take all the blame yourself ;)

The one time I tried a memory foam mattress, I realised how food must feel when it is shrink wrapped... Not that this helps the OP but it sounds as if they are not living hand to mouth on benefits and should be able to budget better by now. There have been loads of helpful suggestions as to how to do this already.

What's all this about memory foam mattresses being too hot? I've had mine 2 years now and I don't have that problem.

OP do you have to have a SPECIAL mattress that costs thousands? I see memory foam ones on Amazon for about £100.

How much money do you need?

I have back problems and I love my memory foam mattress. The times I experience the most pain is when I'm on holiday and have to revert to a standard sprung mattress. I've also never had any problems with them being too hot.

Maybe it depends what the back problem is? I read that the problem with memory foam is that it means you don't move around much in your sleep so you get even stiffer.

Thinking about it maybe I'm misremembering and it's joint problems, rather than back problems, that it's not good for.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I think it's the way they mould up around you: I feel very cosy on one, but for DH it's stifling. As I said, he sleeps hot anyway, often flinging the duvet off the bed. I'm sure not everyone has that problem, but I just feel that if the OP has never slept on a memory foam mattress then there's a bit of a risk in buying one.

    A mattress for a £100?

Not likely, you probably mean a topper.

    Hi Moneyangel,

Have you worked before your disability or does/did your partner work? If so there might be an occupational benevolent fund who could help. If you let me know what jobs you have done I might be able to point you towards a fund to approach.

Apologies for sounding unsympathetic but this is not a "mattress and chair" problem it is a "financial budgeting/debt" problem. You have been advised on previous threads about payday loans to post a stoozing budget on DebtFreeWanabe but have chosen not to. You need to find a proper solution to your situation rather than living "hand to mouth" as you describe it on another thread.

In that thread you said you are paying off £1000 on a payday loan over 6 months, despite being £50,000 in debt and paying creditors £1 a month each. How are you even able to do that? When does it finish? Can you then use that to buy a mattress?

There is huge support for everyone on DFW, but only once they have had their "lightbulb moment". You don't appear to have had yours yet. I am sorry that you are in constant pain, but you can take some control over your financial situation, and then people will be really supportive.

Have you run up all this debts since 2013 when you won a new car and £37000 which you said you would use to pat off all your debts?

You need to take stock of your spending and cut down on it. As we do not know what your income and expenditure is nobody here can help. But I don't thin you want help to do that.
