The Unknown Soldier is a heart-wrenching tale of comradeship, betrayal and of promises – both broken and kept – following the carnage of World War One. Soldier Jack stays behind on the battlefield after the guns fall silent, searching for the boys who could not go home with him; for the dead and the missing, for enemy and friend. In amongst the rusty wires, shrapnel and unexploded bombs, Jack is looking for something, for someone. He has a promise to keep and a debt to repay.
Grist To The Mill Theatre Company’s epic production was a sell-out at the 2015 and 2016 Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, garnering rave reviews from audiences and critics alike. We've managed to secure two pairs of tickets – worth £40 – for one lucky Living North reader for this spectacular performance at Skipton Town Hall on Friday 27th April, starting at 7.30pm. The play is suitable for ages 12 and over.
