    Hi again PaP, and everyone:hello:

I'm just back from my ASDA interview - went on for nearly Three Hours.
But it was quite fun - there were 8 of us at the interview, should have been 12, but 4 didn't turn up.
It started with a 'get to know you' ice-breaker, where you had to find out about the person next to you, in 2 minutes, then introduce him/her to the group. There were a couple of 'role play' excercises, lots of talk about how good ASDA treats its employees, followed by a one to one interview session - they all clapped when I came back in the room, as my interview went on for 10 minutes longer than anyone else's
THEN I had to spend ten minutes 'packing shopping' at the tills - I was so glad that I didn't know any of the customers. :embarasse :embarasse
They tell us that we should know within 72 hours if we were successful.
I do NOT like the new ASDA uniforms.

Anyway - thanks for everybody's best wishes - I shall, now, wait and see.

Oh, by the way - I did not spend anything, even though they didn't offer coffee.

  • So far, I've spent 40p on my paper. I also got 8 activia yogurts for free using the coupon on the activia website, and just found out you can print 2 coupons, and that Morrisons are 2 for £2 on the activia, so with a bit of luck, will get 16 free yogurts on the way home (to add to the 8 I already have)- or maybe they'll be a bit funny about it, and only let me have 8 - either way - I'll have stocked up on yogurts - lol

Will try not to buy anything over budget at Morrisons.

    Evening.

Spends to day for me were:

    £1.50 bus fare
    £8.37 in Red Cross Shop.....BARGAINS!! :D

I got a really wicked long denim skirt, a luxurious feeling & looking black shirt for evenings and a white & black smart shirt for days, with jazzy silver cuff links (unusual on ladies shirts I think?) All items in really fabulous condition.

Love all the items and might wear the black top out on Friday :)

    NSD for me:j :j :j

(I had to give useless git £20 to tide him over, but I made him write out a spending diary to account for where the money had gone). It worked, he looked and said - maybe I don't need to spend £2.80 a day at the canteen (even though he takes a packup:mad: )! We've now agreed that he'll get money each week but ONLY AFTER he's accounted for it in the spending diary!!

It'll not be a NSD tomorrow I fear, but I can try!

  • Hiya,

Rog its a good sign that they spent longer with you then with anyone else. I interview regularly and only if I think the person is a good candidate will I spend longer with them. Fingers crossed.

I have had a NSD so far today but thats going out the window because I've had the day from hell (my customer always a difficult one has decided me and my team are useless and wants a new ac!!!! management team - what they really want is an account manage rwho will give them price reductions and are trying to remove us from the account so they get better prices)

So I'm going out to get drunk

    xx
