NTC Parking Ticket - help!

I received a parking ticket from NTC, and I appealed it as the driver; I appealed as when I was researching everything led to appealing. They rejected my appeal, however their 'much considered' rejection came rather rapidly (possibly due the Bank Holiday weekend that was approaching...).
I saw there was some information regarding the next stage of the appeal, however my parking charge number didn't work, which seems to be a common thing with the NTC tickets...I'm wary of calling them to get their 'help' because I'm refusing to pay it.
Very standard ticket: inadequate signage / 8pm / empty car park.
I couldn't see much information to help if you've appealed straight away.
Any help would be helpful, as I'm refusing to pay, but I want to know where I stand regarding this, because obviously anecdotal advice is not always the most helpful - most people are telling me to just ignore it as it is my first ever parking ticket.

You'll get no 'help' from a PPC (or debt collector), so stop any attempt to contact them.
Once you've made an initial appeal to an IPC member operator (which NTC is), you ignore, absolutely, anything else you receive, other than a LBC or MCOL (see NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #5 for acronym) - come back on this thread if you get either.
NTC are not Uber-litigious - so not a great deal to worry much about.
http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/Norwich_Traffic_Control.htmlPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Okay, so I don't need to take it to the next stage of appeal and appeal via to 'big board' of car parking people - just need to ignore, despite the fact that NTC sent an appeal rejection response to me?
Sorry, I just want to be super clear on this.
Thank you for your response - I'm trying to stand strong, because it's unfair, but I can see why people panic and pay!0 -
these companies ALMOST ALWAYS reject appeals , nothing to do with impending holidays, its what they do, dismiss the appeal out of hand as there is no profit in acceptance , they only want to gouge as much money as they can out of people who "own" or "keep" a vehicle that has a valid VRM affixed front and back (or sometimes customised supermarket trolleys that have a number plate on them for a laff)
you were doomed from the outset, but should have appealed as KEEPER, not as DRIVER
only a landowner cancellation can help you now
you dont owe a penny unless a judge says so, which is true for all of these invoices for private parking , so in that respect you are no different than anyone else
debt collectors are powerless, so that is why you IGNORE them
the 2 legal documents you DO NOT IGNORE are a formal LBC that conforms to the new rules, and/or an MCOL from Northampton CCBC (small claims court papers)
NTC has 6 years to try a court claim0 -

The only thing is: can you appeal as keeper if you're not? All information from various sources told me to not lie in my appeal as that doesn't set you in good stead further down the line if needed.0 -

If you aren't the keeper then you should have let the keeper appeal.
But that's all water under the bridge and irrelevant as you appealed as the driver0 -
That’s frustrating as I didn’t see any information saying that the keeper could appeal.
Is ignoring still the best policy? And only move forward if a LBC / MCOL is received?0 -
doesnt matter if its the keeper or the driver who appealed as far as the next stage
IGNORE is always the next stage if an appeal has been refused, period !!
but if or when it gets SERIOUS with letters before court action, and/or court action, only a moron ignores those 2 stages, its the in-between stages where IGNORE is advised , to keepers and drivers alike0 -
Yes, I thought it was the case, I just wanted absolute clarification that ignoring was the right thing to do at the moment. I won’t ignore if either of those letters come through.
Thank you for your help with this so far. It’s much appreciated.0 -
its right unless you pay up, in full
its one or the other , pay , or ignore
if a judge decided in court that you owe the money , pay up , in full promptly , same as you see daily on Rinder0
