Hi All, we're in the process of selling our house and our buyers have mentioned the their survey has come up with damp on the garage. I believe I know why, water run off from the roof slips between the facia and guttering.

It looks as though somethign needs to be applied to the facia to direct the water into the gutter. Does anyone know how I can do this quickly and cheaply?

Stick the edge on the facia underneath the roof felt and sit the rest in the gutter?

This must be quite common because I have exactly the same problem.

I wasn't sure how to fix it but I was just about to re point the bricks where the mortar has been eroded.

If I wanted to do a quick bodge, I'd bend up some aluminium sheet into an "L" section and bond it to the felt with Sticks Like !!!! so that it bridges the gap.

i was thinking of getting some triangular plastic and sticking it to the facia with silcone as a kind of run off, that would do a simialr job maybe

You could always use a flap of roofing felt to bridge the gap. Bond it and nail it to the existing facia panel. Would probably only cost 10-15 pounds.
