Advice Needed Please

I have been paying insurance on my credit card which I don't need as I am a stay at home mum. When I rang my cc company (Lloyds) to ask if I could have the insurance removed the girl I spoke to told me I would have to get in touch with the insurance company. When I asked her for the phone number she told me she doesn't have it and ended the call! :mad: I guess I should have phoned again until the matter was dealt with, but to be honest I was put off by the way she spoke to me.

The question I want to know is, am I entitled to ask for the money back from when I had my daughter (nearly 4 years)? Would this insurance pay off my debt as I was unable to work following my daughter's birth? I don't remember asking for the insurance in the first place and I find all this a little confusing.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Phone up again and get the PPI cancelled.. this time insist they do it and dont be put off..its your money after all.

whether or not you can claim a refund depends upon whwther the insurance was missold to you. So what were the circumstances when you took it out.

Hi Trishmum,

Have a read through the article at http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance. This will be able to explain what you need to look for if you're thinking about a reclaim on the PPI. My guess is if they just expected you to sign on the line without explaining what the small print meant, you may have cause.
