Should I appeal NSL Lewisham ticket cpz?

We live in Lewisham and have a CPZ on our road for which we pay £120 per year, renewable every Jan.
In Feb, a driver drove into us from a side road and badly damaged our car. The insurer organised for repair and we got a courtesy car.
My partner went online to change the registration of car allowed in the CPZ to the hire car. Unfortunately, she made an error in one of the letters of the reg no.
She got a ticket but sent off an appeal - we got a letter back rejecting our appeal, it said,"I must advise you that vehicle reg .....was not added to your permit session as the vehicle still on your permit session is......and was not changed at anytime."
Can we further appeal, citing mitigating circumstances or anything else?
Any advice most appreciated.

As we tend to major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for council tickets. Register there (but please note that a hotmail address won't work) and post a new thread; here's your link:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=30
Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.
PePiPoo has an excellent success record in dealing with council tickets.
HTHPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

No. You need pepipoo advice and it's easy to register and post.
You are no doubt using a Hotmail email even though they don't allow them? Put that right and you are there.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
