Is there such a thing as a 24 hour motorcycle garage?

I used to work shifts. I'd just book it in to suit. When I had a day off, or working 6-2 whatever.
I don't remember it being a problem.
It was only the first service I used to have though, so it only ever happened a couple of times. I always serviced them myself.0 -
What most people would do is work it into a planned day off work. You have to plan ahead, book the time off work, book it into the garage, then on the day either hang out there locally, or get a bus home, or loiter in their service reception area. That's how it's always been really, not just motorbikes.
You could even use it as a reason to visit another area, by booking one miles away and hanging out in a new town for half a day.0 -
I work nights, I normally just phone the garage up the day before, drop the keys in the letterbox and leave my car there on my way home from work, they ring me in the afternoon and I pick it up.
The other things I use are arranging to book it in in an afternoon so I get up a little early or I get the wife to drop it off. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I work shifts so getting my motorbike serviced can be a PITA.
Why? You have more time available during the normal working week than the rest of us. You have the opportunity to pick the slower days when workshops have capacity rather than trying to get it into a weekend slot.I don't think I've ever seen a garage that is open all hours. With more people doing shift work, why hasn't the motor industry caught up?
Because you would not be prepared to pay the rates they would have to charge to cover a 24-hour operation.0
