Am I missing something? how come this is not publicised, the fact that you can build up a fairly substancial tax free savings allowance over the space of a few years?? Nothing is mentioned about this. Thank you for the replys
You are right they are good! It is true that people have accumulated substantial sums over several years using PEPS (same as ISA's but no longer available) and ISA's. I read of one couple who by judicious selection of stocks and shares in PEPs & ISAs managing to enter the millionaire club.
Maximising the money in your hand is the whole basis for MSE.In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
I have a regular saver that goes March-March and then when that ends I stick it in the ISA in April so basically each April I have a lump sum ready and it's earned 10% in the mean time.0
