hi,
we are going to benidorm this saturday and don't have any real desire to spend the week in either the pub or on the beach.
i was wondering what day trips you would recommend to us.
i believe the nearby theme park is good and calpe and alicante are nice .
any other suggestions would be much appreciated as would any tips on which shows or bars are the best for entertainment
thankyou

Hi I have been to benidorm loads of times mundomar is great sort of a sea world place with shows ect and also benidorm palace has a great night time show and dinner which is very reasonably priced and kids are allowed in and is something for the whole family. I would also recommend the theme park you have mentioned terra mitta sp? I would also recommend aqualandia which is a great water park hope this helps x0

Public transport up and down the coast is pretty good (as long as you subscribe to the manana principle...) and cheap. Probably better going by boat to Calpe - bus station is a fair way out, and train station is probably closer to home than the beach.
Have a look into into car hire - doyouspain (oddly named, but true) are pretty good and can be value if you're thinking of package-hol transfers (rather than cheap/good Airport to Beni bus).0 -
Xhabia (it think thats how its spelt) just up the coast much quieter nice beach towards Denia.0

villajohosa(sp) great old fishing village- but now developed as ever but ell worth it for resturants at coast. visit alicante- or if you have a car Valencia an hour by train or car respectively.
Best day trip is the banana express on the train where you get can look around the guitar making shops.
i prefer the little cove at la cala- aim for gran bali hotel.
Terramiyica is a good theme park with excellent shows but look out for offers as there should beplenty about- back of the local bus tickets is a good place to start0 -
Downhill mountain biking is fab. They take you 10km in a jeep up to the top of a mountain (to where the safari park is)You go down one side in the morning ,have lunch and down the other in the afternoon. Very exhilerating.
Book it at the bike shop Avenida Europa, Opposite side of road @ medical centre, Europa Centre
Talk of the Town, Wheeltappers and Morgans have some really good acts but to be honest, theres so many different good ones, you can jump from place to place and see 3 or 4 really good cabaret acts a night.0 -
We where there last half term brilliant place especially as I am a complete travel snob but I loved Benidorm!
Terra mitica is a theme park well worth the visit might be too cold for the aqua park but if its warm like we had last year its well worth it.
Visit Hogwarts cafe if you have kids near the celtic tavern another great place to watch the footie! Seen Celtic win against benfica there last year we took 8 yr old niece to hogwarts and she loved it.
Very reasonbly priced too.
Go for a day trip to Valencia onlya few hours in the car we hired a car whilst we where there,
The old chapel at the beach on a hill not sure of the name but gorgeous authentic part of benidorm lovely taverns up there too very authentic tapas bars etc!
Hope you have a great time we loved it !Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?0 -
Altea market on Tuesdays. Calpe is lovely, think about going into Alicante and pop into one of Benidorm's tourist information offices for advice.0
