How many accounts can I have?

As part of my new 'getting organised' phase, I am sorting out my savings etc into different pots. I noticed that I can name my Sainsburys online savings account so that is now my Wedding Pot, but can I open more accounts with them for other types of savings such as Xmas and DIY? Or are you only allowed one account. I already have a HSBC online saver, Sainsburys Online Saver and Halifax ISA, is this a bit excessive?

dont see why you cant have more than that as long as you can kep track. only one ISA tho I think. I have 2 online savers and an ISA.Mummy to two girls, 4 & 1, been at home for four years, struggling to contend with the terrifying thought of returning to work.0

ISTR that the Sainsburys Bank account allows you to divide the account into more than one "pot".The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

I have 4 main savings accounts, plus an ISA plus ING which I find useful for splitting small amounts into the various pots. ING is actually pretty rubbish but I find it useful for sticking £10 a month in car tax, £20 house insurance £30 car insurance etc. I then have 2 regular saver accounts, one account for household savings for stuff like christmas, birthdays, holidays, furniture etc etc. And then an account which never gets touched unless I find a better interest rate. I think you should have as many as you need and can cope with.:A

I think it's worth having different current accounts. Not only do they offer opening incentives, but different accounts have different benefits.
For example A&L offers free travel insurance on one of its accounts, Nationwide has free overseas transactions, and it's perhaps worth having a Visa Electron account if you travel on low-cost airlines regularly..0
