no ticket received

I have received a "parking fine" dating back to Feb 3rd.On the day the incident happened i had forgotten to pay 50 p caharge.I got to my car and saw the warden explained it was my car and had just bought a ticket. He had by now taken photo etc.No ticket left on car or handed to me.The warden just said ok and i carried on.
Today i got the penalty note in the post,.I have lost the chance to pay reduced parking charge as the request is over 21 days limit.I did not get a ticket.at all.
Any advice in this situation.

Please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 which will explain how you deal with this.

Sounds like an IPC parking company - which one please? This will help us to let you know how far the company might take this.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

You should first edit your post to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper who are two different people. ;)
You shouldn't be telling the world that somebody underpaid either.

If this was on private land then it isn't a fine, or a penalty charge, and there won't have been a warden.

'A warden is a person who has been entrusted with the oversight of something important to the community''

There was no 'warden' in the proper sense of the word. Many here would agree that private parking firms don't care about managing parking (that would be the last thing they want, as the gravy train would stop). IMHO, these firms do NOTHING useful for Society, and would be incapable of being 'entrusted' with anything important to the community (see the Parliamentary debate in February where it's clear that some MPs totally get what PPC World is really about).
i got the penalty note in the post
No, you didn't. Where is the word 'penalty' or 'fine' on that letter?

You have not 'lost the chance' to do something and no-one here is telling you to pay it.

Let me guess, UKCPS? Or another IPC firm?

You need to read the NEWBIES thread, and can send one appeal as registered keeper, NOT saying who was driving. Edit your first post NOW to remove that information.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
