Cast Iron Radiators

Hi
My husband and i are looking adding two cast iron radiators to our lounge to replace the standard radiators we currently have in there at the moment. Our house is a modern build (less than 20 years old). Our lounge will have a Moroccan theme. Does anyone know anything about these radiators? We have wooden flooring in the room. So would it just be as simple as replacing our old radiators with these cast iron radiators or is it more to it than that?
What are peoples thoughts on the look, heat, cost, weight of these?

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]You can get steel column radiators which are designed to give the look of the old fashioned cast iron ones but at a much lower cost. I have fitted Acova ones in two houses and been pleased with them.

It would be much easier to just use radiator covers instead.
Do a internet image search for 'radiator cover Moroccan' to get some ideas of what might be suitable.0 -
They tend to be much less efficient and more prone to failure than modern flat panel radiators. Personally, for my Moroccan theme, I'd rather aim to emulate the temperature rather than the concept of an old style radiator equating with Morocco.... Which, to me, it doesn't.
If you Google Moroccan style radiator covers you get something rather more North African. A cover will slightly lower radiator efficiency ( particularly on an external wall) but not by much. To me, the look is much more... effective.
It would probably be much cheaper, as it wouldn't be a straight swap installing a column radiator, might need more support, and you might want a Nordic look in five years!
Spend the savings on a couple of good, heavy tagines and cook your way to Morocco as well. mmmmmmm!0 -

Same radiators, considerably cheaper.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
