Others may correct me on this, but you *may* (that's a very slight may!!) be able to use it for recording freeview on sky... see http://www.freesatfromsky.com/
May give more info.

Best putting it on ebay.. You can use it as a normal freesatfromsky receiver but will not be able to use the sky+ features unless you subscribe to the minimum sky package..sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue!0

Thanks
Can I record all of the memory with the kids favourite films then re watch them using it as a dvd hard drive on a seperate telly and not connected to the dish0 -
No.. You need a sky subscription to watch any of the recordings and still be connected to the dish.. And it will only allow you to watch recordings of what you subscride at the time you want to watch them.. For example it you filled you hardrive up with movies from $ky movies and then downgraded to the lowest package you would not be able to watch the movies because you don't subscribe to that service at the time you want to watch them.... If that makes sense..:)smithers_jones wrote: »Thanks

They will be in your planner but $ky will not allow you to watch your recorded programmes because at the time you want to watch them you will not be subscribing to them..sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue!0 -
Although the programmes are stored on your hardrive they still need to go through the viewing card for you to view them.. Sky plus planner is a mirror of what you subscribe to at the time you want to watch as well as the time you record..sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue!0

Thanks Edna
