3000KWH Gas a Month?!

Hi all,
I live in a 2 bed end terrace house, all double glazed and insulated.
I am unsure if this a 'normal' amount of usage.
All my radiators are on 3 and I have a timer on my heating between 18-20.
My boiler is a worcester 24i junior
I am with Utilita and in March the gas used 3255.30kwh.
Checking earlier, when my heating was off and hadn't been on for hours, it said it was using 200+kwh.
I am unsure what to think of this, if it's normal, or could be a fault.
I have tried contacting Utilita all day with hours long holds and not getting anywhere.
Any insight would be useful,
Thank you.

Using that amount is possible, just over 9 metric units a day in winter, but unlikely. Where are you getting this use figure from ?0
-
It was directly off my meter0
-
Have you got an opening and closing meter unit read for the period, don't take the kWh reads from a not very smart meter as anywhere near true.0
-
Sadly I don't, the only thing I can go off is the actual gas meter, which is what I got that monthly figure from.0
-
The meter, not the in house display, will give you the actual unit readings. Take that daily for a few days and see what it gives. Have you been billed for the use ?0

I have just found done a reading and its 02993 m3
I pay by top up so it has been PAYG payments.0 -
Read it again at this time tomorrow and let us know the reading.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
