Can't remember CC or mortgage companies to track PPI

Hi
I've never really bothered with PPI because I always checked the box that said I didn't want the insurance. But I've recently thought that it might be worth a look into it just in case.
Problem is that it has been so long since my last mortgage and also since I had any credit cards I can't remember the names of the companies.
Is there anyway of finding this info out?
Thank you in advance

The last 6 years will be on your credit files. Anything else will only be in your files or memory banks.0

Thanks for the reply.
These accounts are way older than 6 years old. Some maybe as old as 15 years ago.
I'm guessing I'm stuck then!0 -

A PPI complaint is where you make a complaint to the seller about what they have done wrong. You cant remember the sellers. Can you remember what they did wrong? Did you even have it?
Also, in the case of mortgages, most in the UK are put in place by brokers/advisers. If you used one of them the lender wouldnt know what insurances you have. Plus, 15 years ago is pre-regulation in that scenario.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
