Morning everyone,
Back to work for DH & DS today after a nice weekend.Yesterday we went to get the paint mixed for the living room, then called into Dune1m to look at cushions- I know I havent bought any for a while but the prices shocked me:eek:.DH treated us to a mirror for over the fireplace too, then we set to and have half of it done so we could get the mirror up and the curtains back after I washed them. The only trouble is the lining is now longer than the curtain :rotfl:so I'll have to sort that later.Everywhere is a mess but we'll get there.
No snow left but the park is now flooded badly. As long as it stays there and doesnt run off down the hill to us!
Anyway back to the job in hand-have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all, getting fed up with the internet's pist-munching habits. It did it yesterday and now again today so will keep my post short.
Last day of a break though have paperwork to do, Rained most of yesterday, raining again now.
Hope everyone has as good a day as possibleI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Afternoon everyone.
I've had a busy morning (after a lovely lie-in). Now I'm just about to work on another spreadsheet for my volunteer work. It won't take me long and I'll be happy to have it off my list.
Outside that horrible east wind has gone so the chill from the air has also gone. There's rain in the wind but it's not actually raining, at least not yet.
Lunch will be soup and a sandwich, I'm not really fond of soup but every so often it takes my fancy and today is the day.
I hope everyone is doing well or getting better. Happy rest of Tuesday.0 -
Afternoon all. Bright, blowy and dry here in Bristol. I had a bit of a lie in today but have a small load of washing in and will get it out shortly.
OH has booked us a couple of nights in the Cotswolds to visit the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway. Apparently it has a new extension to Broadwey. Completely spur of the moment as the weather looked better than of late. DD is not back at work until nest week so a bit of an opportunity for a break. We go tomorrow for two nights. We will fit in at least one National Trust property too as a treat for me.
Just taking it easy for the rest of the day as I usually dash round the place like a mad thing before we go off anywhere and I am determined not too do so this time.
Hugs to poorlies and those sad or worried. RR hope your return to work goes well. Holly hope you get home Thursday.
Enjoy your Tuesday folks.

Afternoon all,
We have some sun :T . Hopefully it will dry up a little before the next downpour !
We went to the surgery this morning to collect Mr Fix It's script and he had an altercation in the car park. I swear some people should not be on the road if they need at least twice as much space to manoeuvre than normal drivers .
Anyway on to town to collect his medication and called in Wil*os for some rations ( nuts, crisps and sweets ) for DGC. They seem to have booked themselves in for a sleepover tomorrow night. I still don't know how they wangled that. We also went into Pound*tretcher for some of my coffee as it's cheaper there.
This afternoon I shall make a jelly and have a general tidy round. I won't do too much as there will probably be a mess after the DGC leave on Thursday, especially from the craft stuff and then I'll have to do it all again :rotfl:.
I must remember to put the bins out ready for tomorrow too as it's green waste day, the first time since Oct and mine are full. I have 2 green bins but I could really do with 2 more .
TA I don't envy the mess from a new Kitchen but I bet it will look fab afterwards. I'm not relishing the mess from having the new windows in next week either.
Judi I hope you can get yourself sorted with the meds and the chat goes well.
Tiredmum, Hester and RedRuby take it easy today.
JackieO slow down or you'll meet yourself coming back ! You are putting me to shame :rotfl:
Gers enjoy your break too.
Gintot hope you enjoy your break.
Hope everyone is enjoying today whatever your plans. Hugs to all.

Chat with prodigal went well. I'm hoping he has taken on board what i suggested.
Managed to get all my jobs done apart from clean the leather sofas. I can do that whilst i am cooking tea.
Waiting to hear from the pharmacist to see if we have got the go ahead for the medication system to be implemented. If not, i'll just have to muddle through.

It started off wet then cleared up and has been sunny all afternoon until about an hour ago, OH got very wet out cycling as he stopped off en-route chatting and having tea with cycling friends.
I woke at 03:30 with a nasty bout of IBS, acid reflux too so couldn't lie down, spent the hours snuggled in chair under heated throw reading my "Shetland" book so that can be returned to library tomorrow. I have managed to make batches of Chicken Liver pate and Smoked Mackerel pate, some in the fridge and the rest tucked away in the freezer, it makes quite a lot of washing up so prefer to make double amount. No idea what to have for supper, probably breaded fish from freezer, our favoured Chinese take away is closed on Tuesdays so cannot nip up there, we only succumb every 4/6 weeks so no great problem.
Fingers crossed for Holly for Thursday and hugs and spoons to anyone needing them. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

Me: a.m.: 40mg morphine, 75mg Arthrotec, 20mg Omeprazole, 300mg Moclobemide and a multi vitamin.
p.m.: 40mg morphine, 75mg Arthrotec, 200mg Plaquenil and 300mg Moclobemide.
Mr LW: a.m.: 10mg Amlodipine, 5mg Finasteride and a multi-vitamin; plus a low-dose Aspirin every 2nd day.
p.m.: 400 microgram Tamulosin
I am responsible for ensuring the right tablets go into the right person at the right time.
I have it all set out on a spreadsheet, with phone reminders to take our meds at 07:30 and 19:30, and I set out all the next day's tablets the night before; the morning ones in little shot glasses (mine is blue, his is red) and the evening ones in actual decorative pill-boxes which can go in my bag if we happen to be going out (and don't look as naff as plastic dosage boxes) - mine has a jewelled butterfly on a silver background, his has a piece of agate set into the top.
It's a pain, but I find the system works.
This fortnight I also have to give Buddy the Dog 1 Gabapentin capsule twice daily with his meals (breakfast and dinner) and 1/2 a Prednisolone tablet every 2nd day in his dinner.
So extra meds to dish out, and ensure they go in the correct dog.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
