Cant answer the question as Id rather spend less on a car say £5k. Whatever car you do get I hope you enjoy it.

Just be careful when going from something like a C1 to a Jag, Merc or Audi, its not just buying them or even running them its repairing them.

If the gearbox broke or headgasket went on your C1 it would be expensive, price up a job like that on an XF and it will be eye watering, especially if your 'only' spending 11K on one as it will be older, out of warranty and probably well used.

I've owned lots of cars like that but because I can fix them myself i've always been alright, I did own a Jag S-type 2.7 Diesel with a faulty engine (crank failure common problem and same issue on the 2.7 and 3.0 diesel XF) and just to buy a used engine was £1500, imaging fitting as well and you won't get much change our of 3-4K.

I just bought my wife a very nice 66 plate Focus with 3 years extended ford warranty plus balance of manufacturers warranty for 11K from a main dealer.
I have a lot of problems with my neighbours, they hammer and bang on the walls sometimes until 2 or 3 in the morning - some nights I can hardly hear myself drilling ;)

If you want to go really fast in luxury and not look like a t!t in an Audi or BMW you could get one of these:

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAGUAR-S-TYPE-R-4-2-V8-SUPER-CHARGED-400-BHP/292513497005?hash=item441b29bfad:g:hPYAAOSw9v1ax2~F

I had one when they were new and they are really fast and at this price you could drive it and when something big and expensive goes wrong sell it on to someone else to repair!

Be careful with these german cars. Its all well and good until you have to visit the dealership numerous times for repair to parts that shouldnt break. Read the dealership reviews and common issues with the car you wish to buy. Depends what youre going for. If you are happy to put up with the dealership and the off chance you get a decent service then by all means.

You can get a lot of cars for 11k and under. Question is which one is most reliable and which one has a badge belonging to a decent dealership that wont treat you badly
