CV Templates - Word. Any experts?

Options
I have my CV all made up and ready for employers but the template is not suitable. I want to change to another template but keep the existing content. Is there any way I can do that without having to retype the content into a new template?
Thanks in advance if there is anyone who can advise.

If you can't figure out a template yourself, find one you like, type in the section headings/whatever into a new document, copy chunks of text and paste?

I would just tweak the one you have until it looks the way you want it to.

    In case it's useful....

I assume you know how to highlight blocks of text.

Once highlighted, control + c will copy this block of text. Control + v will paste it in the new location once you click there.
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

Depends on whether the document is properly formatted with Styles. If you have used Styles tagging and the new template has corresponding Styles tagging then you can attach a new template to an existing document
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

Thanks for the link. I've used styles, underlining , bold, bullet points etc. I'm just hoping I can transfer all that to the new template. It's only the colour of the actual template which isn't suitable but can't find or don't know if I can even change the colour on the existing template. I'll have a go with that link though

Copy ->Paste Special as Values. Works wonders. I recently had to redo my CV and didnt need to do any retyping at all.

I figured it out. Just clicked the design tab and altered the colour palette
