The driver has appealed/complained to the Sainsburys Manager and been advised to appeal direct to ECP pointing out that the car was not parked in a manner that caused danger or inconvenience to others.
The plan is to appeal on-line using only the template provided under the FAQ’s on day 26 as advised.
Is there a further template for the POPLA appeal stage for this type of “offence” please? If not, is there a generic template.
Thanks for taking the time to read and reply.

Just to make one point...
It should always be the keeper that appeals, not the driver.0 -
Why waste time with the Manager, most are useless
Go to the top and as a valued customer you expect

Yes. You just need to keep reading the NEWBIES and you will find a number of template points. You should use ALL the points that are relevant. Forget the "not parked in a manner that caused danger or inconvenience to others".
Complain to the CEO, pointing out all the comments that MPs made about this unregulated scam, and ask why he is condoning this disgusting behaviour by employing a company to scam genuine customers.
Produce copies of receipts/bank statements to show how much money his company will lose when you take your custom elsewhere if this isn't cancelled, especially as you will be telling all your friends and family to do the same.
Please also complain to your MP and Sir Greg Knight MP.
These are some of the comments made by the MPs in Parliament concerning the unregulated parking industry (Feb 2018):

''Rip-offs from car park Cowboys must stop''; unfair treatment; signage deliberately confusing to ensure a PCN is issued; ''years of abuse by rogue parking companies''; bloodsuckers; ''the current system of regulation is hopeless, like putting Dracula in charge of the blood-bank''; extortionate fines; rogue operators; ''sense of injustice''; unfair charges and notices; wilfully misleading; signage is a deliberate act to deceive or mislead; ''confusing signs are often deliberate, to trap innocent drivers''; unreasonable; a curse; harassing; operating in a disgusting way; appeals service is no guarantee of a fair hearing; loathed; outrageous scam; dodgy practice; outrageous abuse; unscrupulous practices; ''the British Parking Association is as much use as a multi-storey car park in the Gobi desert''; and finally, by way of unanimous conclusion: ''we need to crack down on these rogue companies. They are an absolute disgrace to this country. Ordinary motorists and ordinary residents should not have to put up with this''.
These are the exact words used, so you should quote them to your MP in a complaint and ask him/her to contact Sir Greg Knight MP if he wants further information about this scam.I married my cousin. Got this email today! So pleased.
Thanks for your email to Mike Coupe, I’ve been asked to respond on his behalf. I’m sorry you’re unhappy about receiving a parking charge notice at our Welwyn City Garden store, and I’d like to address this.
We aim to provide facilities which all of our customers will enjoy and we also try to ensure everyone can access a parking space if they need one. However, our customers may, sometimes, receive a parking charge notice, and we’ll do all we can to help them.
Please be assured that I’ve taken your comments seriously and have shared them with Euro Car Parks, with whom we have a professional working relationship. They monitor our car park to help to prevent abuse of the facility, and signage is provided to advise customers of the parking rules and regulations. One of those rules is that customers are required to park within marked bays only, and vehicles parked outside of the bays will be at risk of receiving a parking charge notice. I apologise for the disappointment this caused.
However, on this occasion, Euro Car Parks have cancelled your parking charge notice and no further action, or payment, is required.
Thanks again for taking the time to get in touch, and we look forward to seeing you in store again soon.
Kind regards
Craig McEwan | Executive Office

Keep on with the appeal process as set out in the Newbies FAQ thread.
You need this confirmed by the PPC before it's put to bed!0 -
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
I will add this latest success to the very long 'SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCS' thread.
Well done - very easy wasn't it!
Do submit an 'appeal' to ECP that attaches that email and asks them to confirm the offending piece of trash is cancelled.
And do watch the Parliamentary debate about this scam/rogue (MPs words) industry.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Do it now, but choose 'registered keeper' just in case they persist with their pathetic itch.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
