Painting costs?

Hi,

just wondering if anyone can give me a rough idea of what costs are for painter & decorator. We have just finished a loft conversion in a 1930s semi, and have a hall, stairs & landing (stairs x 2) with new banisters skirting etc, freshly plastered walls for most of this, plus the large loft bedroom & ensuite (approx 4m x 5m with ceilings just over 2m) to be painted. We also have a couple of walls in existing bedrooms with new plaster that need a mist coat.

The existing staircase paintwork needs a bit of TLC, but there are no existing bannisters-they are all new.

So what sort of cost/length of time do you reckon for a painter and decorator to mist coat all new plaster, paint ceilings white, walls with diamond matt emulsion and prep and paint all woodwork? We are in north essex/suffolk border area. We have had a quote for £2000 (cash) including all materials, for approx 2 weeks work. Does this seem reasonable?
