Does lodger with ensuite buy loo roll?

We have a medical student lodger staying with us for 8 weeks whilst on placement at a local hospital. He has his own en suite so I was wondering who buys the loo roll - him or us?
I left 3 full rolls in there at the start of his stay.
At the end of the day it's not a biggie as I got 9 rolls for £1.99 from The Range the other day. It's more of an expectation question really. What about hand soap?
The room was advertised including bills, but this specified gas, electric and wifi. We'll provide washing up liquid / dishwasher tablets / cleaning spray etc but these are for shared, not private, facilities.

No idea but suggest you buy bars of soap as harder to go through. Would also give him the full 9 pack of toilet rolls - they've gotta be fairly thin at that price. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

As the lodger has exclusive use of the karzi in question, they should buy the loo rolls for it."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Should they buy the sheets for the bed as well? They have exclusive use of the bed as well.
If I am lodging the only thing I expect to have to provide is my food. Basic toiletries should be provided0 -
I'd expect lodgers with an en-suite to buy their own. However, as he's a medical student for a fixed 8 week duration, I'd probably go down to Home Bargains, grab a £2.50-2.99 "16 rolls" pack and hand them over saying "Here's some loo rolls, if you run out you'll have to buy your own".
You set the rules and what you'll provide/not, which will depend on how accessible things are to you and the type of person/duration/reason of their staying with you. It shouldn't be Bleak House, on the other hand you're not their mum.0 -
Maybe not their mum but providing an accomodation service0

Do you have to provide your own when you book into a hotel/B&B?0

Thanks for all the replies. I will stock up the supplies of loo roll and hand wash during his stay.0

It's his choice whether to buy it or not....
