Good morning, wet, dreary and cold looking here, radio reports snow in the North of the county.
RR thanks for starting us off, very best wishes for a quiet day today, hope that all goes well.
Holly thinking of you, hope all is progressing for you.
Judi and Gers thinking of you March is a bad one for me with 2 anniversaries of loved ones passing.
Exciting day in store for me, we have allocated time to de-frost the freezer which lives in the garage/utility, not looking forward to it, but needs must. Supper will involve more cold chicken, for DH at least as he was the one who wanted to buy one, not sure for me, plenty of time to organise something.
Hugs and spoons, have a good day all.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Morning all,
Hope your 1st day back goes ok RR and its quiet for you x
Gers & Judi hugs,
TA I sympathise as we have snow too,big flakes coming down fast but not sticking on the road. Its meant to get warmer later so hopefully wont be around long.
We are off to the orange DIY after Lylas walk to get our paint so thats our day mapped out.We want to get as much done today before DH is back at work tomorrow, or before any DGC visit and want to 'help'.
Hope you all have a nice day,and leave any worries behind .:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Horrible drizzly day here today typical bank holiday.
Im off to the trafford centre this morning to hand over 2 arms and 3 legs in return for my puterTrying not to think about how expensive this is going to be as it has to be done. Back to run a couple of work webinars over lunch time then Im off out with a friend I have lost touch with later on for a good catch up.
I heard from Holly last night and she is doing well for a discharge on thurs. She has been trying to keep herself to herself as there have been a number of violent patients bought in and there have been fights on the ward  She's scared a lot which is an awful way to liveRoll on Thursday
Really enjoyed my turkey dinner last night and there is plenty of leftovers for another couple of meals.
Right best get on and sacrifice my limbs to the mighty Apple store0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Its hissing down here, grey, cold and very wet ughhh....
I put our weekly meter readings into SSE rach Monday, this morning it will not accept my password. I have been using it for yonks...grrrrrrr will try again later, I cannot be a***d to change it it takes me ages to get used to a new password.
Bed stripped, sheets in the washer, they will have to go in the dryer today. Will leave the bed open for an hour or so before I re make it. I need to hoover the mattress with the little Dyson hand held thingy.
I am not looking forward to this week. OH has his eye op on Thursday, for me, when I had mine it was not a problem, cannot say the same for him, it will be one drama after another!!
The lamb yesterday was delicious, we will have it cold tonight with jacket spuds and tomato and celery salad. There is a bit of crumble to finish off.0 -
Morning all
RR hope today goes well for you
Holly fingers crossed for Thursday
Well i am up but in my dressing gown I haven't been well since returning home i was ill whilst in Cuba i had Vertigo and was ill for a few days i have never suffered before but i have dizziness ,headaches and sickness and just feel yuk will leave it for a week if i am no better i will make an appointment at the doctors
The weather is rainy and grey so we will probably just stay home and watch the goggle box
Dinner tonight will be beef olives made from yesterdays roast
Have a great day whatever you are up to x0 -
Morning campers, lovely weather for ducks
.
We had snow in the night but it changed to rain, rain and more rain.
I too had a bad night but I think mine was self inflicted, either too excited after yesterday or too much sugar intake .
Today the only thing I need to do, is hoover under the dining room table, but I can't do that until Mr Fix It's here, as the table needs to go back to it's day to day size. It's very old, left to me by my great aunt and it weighs a ton, so it needs the two of us to shift it. However Mr Fix It has gone over the farm to help our friend get his 'van out as he's heading to Devon tomorrow on his holidays. Mr Fix It has offered to pull his van out as we have a 4x4, he doesn't and we are betting that it will be quite muddy in the orchard.
Tea tonight will be self service as there is plenty of choice in the fridge/ freezer, so we will see what we fancy later on.
RedRuby I hope your day goes well.
Holly my fingers are crossed that you can come home on Thursday.
Hester please try and rest your leg before you do more damage to it.
Tiredmum I'm sorry that you too are poorly, I wish you a speedy recovery.
OK enough waffling, I shall make another coffee as park myself on the sofa.
Take care all. Please help yourselves to the hug bucket as it was freshly filled this morning :rotfl:.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Hi chums at my friends until tonight, weather has brightened up a little but its still quite nippy. Going to be a busy week for me this week and I shall meet myself coming back I think
.Although its bright I think after a short walk after lunch we shall tuck in for a knit and natter session this afternoon.Too much traffic around on the bank holiday roads to want to join it I think I hope everyone is enjoying the break though ,hopefully it will warm up by next week as I am off to the Isle of Wight for a week.
Take care chums

You!!!8217;ll be feeling raw still Judi. I hope you can let some peace into your heart. Took me a while to do that.
No i'm not there yet. Such a lot of anger and hurt.I heard from Holly last night and she is doing well for a discharge on thurs. She has been trying to keep herself to herself as there have been a number of violent patients bought in and there have been fights on the ward She's scared a lot which is an awful way to live Roll on Thursday
and they sectioned her for own safety?! I guess the danger from other patients doesnt come into it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
The snow fell steadily from the early hours until about 1.00 pm and was beginning to look quite deep. Then hallelujah it stopped! It looks quite soft stuff though so hopefully it will all be gone by tomorrow.
I got my steps in from the garage and tackled the top shelves of the top cupboards in the kitchen. Stuff that doesn't get used regularly. So now I have 4 big boxes slightly hidden behind the dining table. Still loads more to pack away but a lot of it I will be needing up to the last minute before the fitters arrive! I still have all the cleaning stuff under the sink to box up too as well as pans etc. And I haven't a box big enough for my grocery cupboard stuff! I have a big deep plastic storage one in the garage "somewhere" so will use that when I unearth it! I shall have to pack it on the floor and shove it along as I shall never lift it!
It upsets Mr TA leaving it to me but he can't keep upright on the floor without his stick propping him up so he would have no chance on stepladders. He keeps in reasonable spirits coping with all his illnesses (better than I would in his position) but it gets him down when he can't help me as much as he used to. What happened to the strapping young footballer I married?
I have downed tools now for the day, with my feet up and watching an ancient film on tv. I shall resume my kitchen clearing tomorrow!
Have a nice rest of the day folks. TIREDMUM get well soon. Better news on HOLLY, sounds as if she may be back posting soon. Not very pleasant company in the hospital by the sound of it. JUDI (HUGS) and lots of them xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Afternoon all. A late one for me today. Housework this morning so a load in the washing machine and I stripped the bed. The bottom sheet has worn through so will order a new one from M&S later.
It has dried up a bit this afternoon=I even fleetingly saw some blue sky! Mr gintot and I wen to the local retail park for a walk round this afternoon. In BM a few treats fell into my basket. Mr G wanted Eccles cakes, I bought Jammie Dodgers and Pom bears for DGS's visits and a cheap fajita mix. We know how to live!
I had a quick look in N ext to see if they had a Spring coat for DGS but nothing there really.
Well hugs and spoons all round. HH hope your ankle gets better soon. Have you got a minor injuries unit nearby that you could take it too? Mr G went to ours a couple of weeks ago when he slipped and fell and bent the knuckle of his right ring finger. Mallet finger they call it. So his finger is in a cradle strapped on with tape to keep it straight and Flo Nightingale here has to help him wash it daily, wash and dry the cradle and re strap it.
Holly hope you get out on Thursday, Thinking of all those remembering lost loved ones today.
