spot light and circuit breaker

I think one of the spotlights in a room with 6 has a blown bulb but don't know which one because circuit breaker switches them all off the minute they are turned on. I have spots in other rooms and never had this problem before, usually the circuit breaker switches them all off but then they will come on again with just one less. I wouldn't mind but it's switching off every ceiling light in the house bar one in the kitchen which also wouldn't matter if people wouldn't keep flicking the switch.. These particular lights were only put in a few months ago. Anyone know how I can find out which bulb has gone other than taking them all out one by one and re-setting the circuit breaker each time.

Take them all out & put them back one by one until it trips.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

when its dark, flick the light switch, the one with the blue flash is the blown one...0

Assuming the spotlight to be simple incandescent / halogen, and not energy-savers .... buy a voltmeter/circuit tester from an electrical retailer or DIY shed or borrow from someone who has one
Remove bulb, test bulb for resisistance. Bulbs with a defined reading of a few ohms are good, bulb(s) with no reading/infinite resistance is/are the dud(s)0 -
All the bulbs are causing the circuit breaker to switch the lights off, thing is it's all been working fine the last few months since they were put in, wondering if the electrician is likely to come back and sort it out.0

This is a different scenario to your original post when you said one bulb was causing the CB to operate. Are you sure ?
Take all 6 out - does the CB stay in when you switch the circuit on? If yes then its a bulb and a question of elimination ; if no a wiring (or overload) problem and time to get your electrician back.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
I thought it was one because whenever a bulb blows the circuit breaker trips and it happened the minute the light was switched on. Anyway, I've since discovered that one of the spotlights had come apart further up and the wires had come loose so when I removed it altogether the lights came on but in the process Iv'e got the entire fitting broken so I guess it will be an electrician call out but it couldn't have been properly wired in the first place, surely? This is a different scenario to your original post when you said one bulb was causing the CB to operate.
