Car rejection affect credit score?

Options
Afternoon,
I've posted this on Motoring as well but it's also PCP finance related.

By rejecting my car within 6 month window and using part PCP finance on the car, will my credit score be affected? and how

Thanks

  • You don!!!8217;t have a score to be affected. So no harm there.

It will show on your credit history though for 6 years

Why are you rejecting and what is going to happen to the finance agreement ? Your "score" will be affected but that is of no consequence. What is of importance is how the finance is showing. If it shows as £0 balance and settled then that is a positive mark. If it shows as VT that could be a negative to some other car finance houses.

Rejecting car as the airbag light still has to be fixed.

Nothing like driving down the road you stop at lights or traffic and the light comes on. No warning nothing. No pattern to it, just does it for no reason, a fault in the system which is still being diagnosed.

So would you trust a car that's been 'fixed' three times, assured every time it won't happened again, but do you risk your life and your families in anticipation that if the airbag light chooses to come on they won't deploy when needed the most.

I thought it would not follow the same rules as VT as its a rejection of a car 'not fit for purpose'.

From oogling they have to give a full refund therefore my credit score should be clear? I think...
  • Is it under warranty?

If so is this with the dealer or manufacturer?

If they refund you it will still show on your report.

    Again, ignore the fictitious score
