I managed to crack the lower centre grill on my 2003 A4 last night, so it needs replacing. There are 2 things fitted to the grill (one on each side) connected by cables that are currently holding the 2 halves in place. Does anyone know what they are please??

Only way to describe them is about the size of a small smartphone, flat and rectangular in shape

1992 the first primitive systems started to appear as just a warning system with no interaction with throttle, brakes etc.

2002 for Audi's first system, radar Adaptive cruise control (Autocruise).

Exactly. So what are the chances of it being fitted to a 2003 A4? Even if it had spread south from the upper reaches of the A8 option-list, it'd be a monumentally expensive option ticked by precisely nobody.

Just pointing out that it is possible to have ACC on a 15 year old car.

If you had said, on a 15yo A4?, well that would have been different.

I know, probably being over pedantic, but your reply seemed to imply that no 15 year old car would have ACC. I was just pointing out that they some could have.

Whether that was an option on a 2003 A4 I have no idea, but you are right, it is doubtful.

    Hi all

I'm guessing they are an aftermarket front parking sensor, I found the axternal temp sensor that looks right, but these 2 'things look nothing like the rear parking sensors (4 colour coded round things mounted in the rear bumper) so guessing they're aftermarket things, that have never worked...

New grill coming tomorrow so ill be putting it all back together, thanks all
