Redundancy pay

Options
Hi,

My bf got made redundant (they went bust) and he got his wages due and holiday accrued paid through the redundancy payments office after he was made redundant. I am looking to claim his over paid tax back and the redundancy office took the full 20% off except that payment is not listed on his tax gateway hmrc account. It only shows what he was paid from his old employer. Does anybody know why this is? Obviously I want to make sure hmrc are aware so he can make a full claim as he has over paid £750 ish on tax.

Cheers

  • Was this recently? It maybe that the payment hasn't caught up with the gateway account. Either way he can contact HMRC after this Thursday to ask about overpaid tax in the last tax year.
