Unfullfilled sale with small business

I'm not sure if this is in the right place and I am so sorry if its not, please forgive me.
On the 8th of March I paid for an item from a small business via his requested payment method, bank transfer, I understand this means I cannot get my money back?
I had hoped my order would have arrived by the 16th March but I haven't heard from the person, he made an excuse 10 days ago to say it wasn't finished (yet I saw pictures of the finished item before buying) I cant afford to right off £64 and the whole transaction has been carried out on Facebook so I have no address details for the business.
Do I have any rights at all or should I just accept it as being an expensive lesson?
