In my experience, any damage to a toughened glass shower screen will shatter it.
The screen in question might not be made of toughened glass.
Some of them use laminated glass and it's possible for these to get damaged in a small area without the entire screen shattering.

All the shower enclosures/screens from Bathstore are toughened glass.

It would be hard to see the damage as it was surrounded by the foam with a plastic black cap fitted over it. Here’s the damage:

Could you put a rule/measure next to it to get some idea of scale?
    Which screen is it?

It’s the alantes 750 screen. Not at the property right now but it’s a good 2 inches upwards and 1.5 inch sideways.

But on a separate update apparently Bathstore have agreed to change the shower screen. I will definitely be checking every inch of this screen

Builder should have inspected it before fitting
Plumbers not pointing out product defects seems common. 2 years on I discovered my Bathstore £900 bath had a bodged waste fitting which I can see the plumber did due to an astonishingly bad waste design. Bathstore claim they offer a lifetime guarantee. I lodged a technical issue to try and get a properly designed replacement waste, they started cooperatively but no longer respond now. I suspect it's because there's no easy solution.

Anyone used Resolver successfully with Bathstore?
