ANPR Question/anxious

One of my family members has come back and explained they were in tesco today and they couldn't park.

Due to bank holiday being extremely busy, no spaces , apparently all the lanes were blocked and they had to circle round . They ended up circling round (pictured) and there was a camera which is highlighted. the exit that they would of passed has a camera pointing at it .

They drove straight on so is there any chance this camera could of clocked a numberplate off them going past and then when they did finally leave ( which was 10 minutes later). Causing another camera to see them leaving causing all this confusing (which seems to happen alot with ANPR?

i'm asking this because they are anxious and just want clarification, the camera would only see the side of the car from my point of view?

Main reason is that they have heard ALOT of stories on these cameras.
It wont let me embed the below?

If they were only in the car park for 10 minutes, then there shouldn't be any issue to worry about - especially if the parking company is Highview.

I've viewed the links, but I'm not sure what you're concerned about. Normally ANPR picks up any and all entry and exits.

If it's a Tesco only car park (not a multi-retailer one), it will almost certainly be Highview.

Just about found a blurred sign on there carpark on google and - looks like i can see 'highview'.

What they are worried about is the entrance / exit was the other side ,they're worried that somehow when they've gone past this other camera it's somehow clocked their numberplate thinking they have exited(One in the picture is a exit only no entrance)

Are they still on the car park?

I'm struggling to understand the concern, sorry if I'm being slow on this. ANPR records entry, then records exit 'x' minutes/hours later. If the time span is in excess of the limit on the signs - bang, NtK in the post. If your relative gets a NtK, get him/her to come back here - Highview are totally beatable, with minimal effort.

Possibly someone else can have a fresh look at this, I'm not sure I can add any more than I have already.

Sorry i'm trying to explain this on behalf of someone. If that one they drove past somehow clocked their numberplate then they parked up , 10 minutes later they exited for real, would anything happen/the ANPR get confused as it's clocked 1 entrance,2 exits

(i dont believe that camera would of been able to see their numberplate) just trying to give them some clarification

1 Do you have to pay to park?
2 The cameras are trained on the entrance / exit passing by the side won't see the number plate.

Instead of worrying about what is probably going to be nothing, why not forearm yourself properly by reading the Newbies Sticky - Which will prepare you to deal with these predators, properly, anywhere.

So no more worries, anywhere, ever..!

Then you have nothing to worry about, anyway it's only Highview they are useless.
