Is MBNA a good credit card company and do they offer high credit limits and what is their customer service like anybody got any experience with them

I used to have an account with them. My mum still does, but I am an additional cardholder on her account.

According to several posts on here, they offer higher than normal credit limits. I don't find their customer service anything special. Some of their representatives have provided me with incorrect information on multiple occasions. It is good that their call centre is in the UK. As I am still with Barclaycard, I can't stand being connected to their Indian call centre almost every single time.

Their online banking is good, but I personally would like to see pending transactions and payments speed up. Mobile app is good.

I can only quote my own experience of course but I've had an MBNA Visa and a MasterCard for over 20 years. Limits of £11.2K and £5.3K respectively. May not be perceived as high by others but more than adequate for my requirements for these particular cards.

The only time I've needed to contact their customer services was when my wallet with one of the cards was stolen. They dealt with that perfectly efficiently and I had a replacement card within a couple of days.

I have found their customer service to be good but I am not sure if the fact Lloyds have bought them might affect this.
