Highest Santander credit limit

  • Completely agree with what you say!

Speaking of NHunter, I'm looking forward to seeing what they hold on me come May 25th!

(I know I can do it before, but I'm too tight to pay £10 :) )

Same for CIFAS. I don't like who they're judge, jury and executioner. This is one element where I think GDPR will be generally useful (rather than a pain in the backside) - if people are having fraud/suspected fraud etc logged against them, they need to know.

Although would they decide to exempt themselves from DSAR so they don't fall foul of the "tipping off" rules?

It's quite empirically evident that MBNA and Barclaycard offer generally higher credit limits. I currently hold 3 credit account as follows:
    £9800 - Barclaycard
    £4800 - Santander
    £6000 - MBNA

I've discussed this topic with 3 close family members and friends who are also with Barclaycard and Santander. Coincidently all 4 of us has the highest credit limit with Barclaycard and the lowest with Santander.

An honourable mention to Capital One, I don't hold an account with them but my brother does. After some research, it seems that they also offer a generous amount of credit however, I've also noticed that they do not offer the best products in terms of the period of 0% interest for balance transfer/purchase.

My highest credit limit is with Barclaycard at £13,000

    Then I have Sainsbury's £6,000 and Lloyds £4,500

Going to be closing the Sainsbury's card next week when I've finished paying it off at last

Barclaycard gave me £18k out of the box.
Amex has grown to £17k over time and MBNA to £14k.
    various others from £11k downwards
Tesco have always been the stingiest.

MBNA is being brought into LBG stable - I suspect that all the brands will use the same credit scoring soon and I would think MBNA 's limits will mirror what you would get with Lloyds Halifax or Bank of Scotland.
