Tax Credits award

HI there
Can anyone tell me if your tax credit award automatically gets adjusted in April/new tax year? Or do you have to ring up and apply again? Thanks

It carries on. You get sent a letter anywhere between April 5th and the end of July asking you to provide details of the previous year's income, you send it back (or online I believe), they adjust the amounts you get paid based on what you tell them and what they've already paid you and inform you accordingly.

If you don't respond by the end of July it stops and you'd have to pay back all you've received since April 5th.

    Thankyou for that
My income for last year was a lot lower so my tax credits should go up a bit from April
