Universal credit - technically not fit to work but fit work

That's true, maybe I should ask for a fit note with what adjustments I'd need on it, that's not saying I'm not fit to work just what I could do, which I guess is what the new fit notes were supposed to be for0
-
OP - how did you get ESA50 form without supplying fit notes?0

First sentence of pmlindyloo's post 9 explains this.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
There's a rule that says you don't need a fit note to claim ESA as a full time student on PIP/DLA0
-
When did you apply for ESA? When you completed the ESA50 form did you send in your medical evidence?
I am wondering if you have already been placed in the WRAG or Support group without a WCA - i.e on a paper based assessment.
Have you received any letters re your ESA award letter detailing how they have worked out your award?
If you have already been placed in a group then transferring to UC would be much easier as you would take this award with you.0 -
I can't recall exactly it was in the first half of last year. I presume I still have the letters they sent me, I'll try to find them0
-
Their most recent letter doesn't mention capability to work at all, I don't recall any that did apart from when the ESA50 was sent. This one gives a break down of what I would have been entitled to which was £73.10 + £62.45 +£15.50 but my stipend was more than that so not entitled to any payment. Odd though because the £62.45 is Severe Disability Premium or whatever it's called isn't it? And my friend was at the time claiming carers allowance for me and so I wouldn't have been entitled to that.
I'll give the DWP a ring on Tuesday via text relay see what I can sort0 -
I did the online UC claim yesterday, and Council Tax relief today, the council's website is only half updated from pre UC system (this area has been UC since ?November) with no UC option once in the depths of the application.
The Universal Credit system did pick up that I have an ESA claim though and so it is still live - something I wasn't sure about having re-read their latest letter.
Hopefully it'll all come out in the wash next week, thanks for your help0 -

Please let us know how you get on with your ESA claim. Yes, it will still be 'live' because you are receiving NI credits only.
Good luck!0 -
Thanks, will do0
