Help! Need to make universal credit claim but can't close new claim over bank holiday

Hi, hope someone can help.
Couldn't phone to close my JSA claim today, but have just found out I can start new part time job this Saturday.
Is it likely to cause problems claiming universal credit 'late' as I don't want to lose any extra money I might manage to earn.

Don't see why it should be a problem. It might have been if you deliberately continued to claim JSA while working and this went on for a while. All that usually happens is you phone up on what will now be Tuesday because of Easter and say you want to close it effective of last Saturday and you'll get a final payment up to Saturday for your JSA claim.
And UC can be backdated up to a month.0 -

No, not for the majority of claimants.
Backdating only applies in very limited circumstances for the most vulnerable claimants who may be delayed in claiming Universal Credit through no fault of their own.
