i was always told if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing.
So it is OK to post things you want to hear but not anything you don't wish to hear, unfortunately when you post on an open forum you are going to get negative replies as well as positive.

firstly - thanks to the people who took the time to comment constructively, the advice has helped me.
i was always told if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing. i wanted to have my post ridiculed and mocked i would have put it on facebook or twitter,

Well I don't think it's very nice accusing the council of wrong doing and attempting to get money out of them through legal action for a mistake that was your fault alone. But that didn't stop you from posting on here about it or contacting the council.

And other people come here frustrated at the blame/compensation culture that costs us all extra in tax, insurance etc. Tripping over a visible hazard should be a lesson, not an opportunity for enrichment at everyone else's expense.

Some people come here to feel superior so I suggest you don!!!8217;t worry about it and ignore unhelpful replies.

You could try your home insurance or you could try a no-win no-fee firm.
The latter will work more aggressively on your behalf as they depend on success to get paid.

If you are partly responsible then I!!!8217;m sure the legal representatives for the other side will point it out based on all the information available, so no need to listen to people who don!!!8217;t know the roads and what visual clues there were at the time.

Just make sure they are genuinely no fee and won!!!8217;t deduct from your payout.

The visible clue was a pothole in the road.

All you are doing is building the OP's hopes up.

OP: If you seriously think you have a case then forget NWNF as they will just take a chunk of your compo. Pay for proper legal representation and keep all the money for yourself.

Let us know how you get on.
