Earlier I had to use the pay at pump, kiosk was closed.

Card in, pin entered, ready to fuel, nozzle in hand and suddenly oh crap the tip is loose a bit, I have the capless fuel system, in case wondering why this matters https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf%3Fid%3D186074&ved=2ahUKEwiaqq-w_4_aAhVqL8AKHVeLDVMQFjAaegQIARAB&usg=AOvVaw1QtzEbwDUnaubHJbuVRlQm just do straight to bottom page for diagrams.

I didn't know how to cancel not to proceed, but felt I had no choice, luckily this time the nozzle came out (in the past it ws jamming as I wasn't aware what it was).

Lesson learnt inspect nozzle before putting card in, anyway got me curious if it's impossible to cancel the transaction after entering pin, ready to fuel, but not actually continue?

Just put the hose back and it cancels after a short while.

Press the cancel button on the keypad? Lift the nozzle then replace it (its usually replacing the nozzle that "ends" the transaction and brings up the "do you want a receipt" message)?

You didn't pump any fuel? Then there is no transaction to cancel.

Are you worried that the next person to use the pump would get fuel on your card? They won't.

This thread just got me wondering something.

Having just acquired a Ford car with a capless fuel system, does anyone know if anyone makes a (say, 5l) can that comes with a nozzle compatible with the filler neck? Rather than having to dig the Ford supplied funnel out of the wheel well in the event an 'emergency' fill up is required?

Emergency fill up? My car has a fuel gauge so when it shows the fuel is getting low I fill up again. If I go on a long journey I make sure I fill up before I leave so I have enough fuel to complete said journey. I'm not sure if Fords have these gauges, maybe not as Ford is a budget brand I believe?
