I tried for ages to remove the battery cover on our new stick, with no success. My husband had no better luck. My daughter-in-law tried to explain over the phone, but to no avail. I decided to try Youtube and found lots of videos, one alone having 10000 views. One suggested bashing; something I didn't want to do in case of…

I measured mine and it's 9mm.

Intrigued as to what the issue is. My current remote is an Alexa (voice) one that's about 8 months old and has an arrow on the rear, to show direction to slide, and a small dimple to place your thumb on to push and slide. I didn't have an issue with opening an older style one either.
