Hi,

Need some advice please.

I'm applying for carer's allowance. I was on contribution based JSA but closed the claim on 23/3/2018.

Can I put the start date of the claim 1/3/2018 (whilst still claiming JSA) or I have to put 24/3/2018?

Thanks.

San

You can put the start date as whatever you like; but you won't be paid while you were claiming JSA.

You'll only be paid from the day that claim was closed down.
