CP4L and DHL
Towards the end of Feb I ordered a 5L of oil, an oil filter, a sump plug copper washer and some screenwash concentrate from CP4L, with free delivery.
The screenwash turned up via one DHL delivery 4 days after dispatch, with no sign of the rest until I phoned up to ask questions.
The second delivery about a week later was a free valeting kit to apologise.
The third delivery 5 days later was the oil and filter, but no sign of the 50p copper washer (but no obvious signs that it would have escaped from the large cardboard box.
Today I've had another email from DHL notifying me of another package on its way!
Has anyone else experienced this nonsense? I'm not sure how much DHL charge each time but there can't be much left over on an order I paid £21 (with some Topcashback due out of that!
This is all for a car that cost £990 last July and will be my second oil change (use of an inspection pit is free but it's a matter of lining up the consumeables and coordinating a visit to the pit).

You don't need a pit to do an oil change, just a jack and a pair of axle stands. You have found out though that dirt cheap price=poor service. Find someone with a Halfords trade card and get the parts from there. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I never said I needed a pit - that's personal preference to walk underneath and survive my money saving exploits. Use of pit is free. My point was to ask if anyone else has been messed around recently. The bits for the first oil change came quickly in one box. I have a Halfords trade card but some things are still way over the odds. I could even buy the same bits from ECP but that's not the point either! You don't need a pit to do an oil change, just a jack and a pair of axle stands. I've had the same this week. Ordered parts that were £20 and they've been delivered in 2 separate parcels a couple of days apart. It surely can't be economic to process orders like that - either for CP4L or DHL - either DHL get peanuts or CP4L are making a loss on the orderRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Ordered some wheel trims and a air filter, the trims were already half price coupled with a another discount code and free delivery.
The wheel trims came in a huge yellow DHL box and the air filter in a smaller plain box. The filter could have easily fitted in the huge yellow DHL box. The best part was they arrived next day so I basically got a free upgrade on the delivery.0 -
CP4L are part of ECP. I've used them a number of times and always had great service, usually next day delivery for free. Okay the boxes can be a bit on the big side, butI've never had any issues with service and supply
As for Halfrauds offering good service, really? Its usually kids serving who dont know there oil filter from there air filter. One man's folly is another man's wife. Helen Roland (1876 - 1950)0 -
An update: the DHL email I referred to in original post was not just for the washer but another bottle of oil and a filter too. So I'm set up for a few miles yet.--Savings: 26/09/14 the day I reached 100k, 24/07/20 200k, 23/08/24 300k

The huge yellow DHL boxes are great for using as storage solutions, I've had a few over the years from both ECP and CP4L - very sturdy.0
