when i buy my next car which is going to be a bmw im going to stick a ford badge on it just to keep people like you happy

some people love putting others down as motor guys says if you have nowt good to say dont say it

I didn't say buy a Ford. I was just pointing out German cars are usually light on equipment and it might be a good idea to look at the options list. I've owned a few German cars and know first hand how poorly equipped the standard lower trims can be. My last Audi (an A4) didn't even have a light in the glovebox - how rubbish is that?

Its not the spec bit of your comment that was unhelpfull it was "still some people seem to value the badge above all else so I guess it's each to their own"

    I rest my case
People are caught up in an egotistic artificial rat race to display a false image to society. We want the biggest house, fanciest car, and we don't mind paying the sky high mortgage to put up that show. We sacrifice our biggest assets our health and time, We feel happy when we see people look up to us and see how successful we are”

Thank you for the advice to post on babybmw :)

Not that I need to explain myself, but I can't remember the password for this site so only log in automatically at work hence my lack of reply but I did find peoples reviews helpful.

I was torn between three very different cars, one you'll be pleased to know was a Ford so I wanted reviews and opinions of actual drivers to confirm my belief I'd chosen the right car for my needs!

That was it, and if someone has a negative opinion, it usually stems from jealousy...or being a keyboard warrior. Or both.

But wouldn't it have been better to have asked for views before making the choice - if we all turned round now and said you've bought the wrong car, it's too late to do anything about it?

Out of interest, what were the other two cars under consideration?

Or perhaps personal experience and lessons learnt that a blue & white propellor on the front don't mean what they once used to ;)
