Halifax Automatically Refunding?

Hi all. My fiancee received an odd payment into her bank last Wednesday which only showed as "Charge Refund" for £45. Today she has had another £91 put in with the same description!
She doesn't want to call in case it was a mistake as to be honest, we could be doing with the extra cash, but she hasn't made any sort of claim for charges and looking back (online banking only goes back 7 years) there hasn't even been £40 in bank charges, never mind the £136 she's been "refunded".
Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

If you spend the money knowing it might be a mistake they will quite happily come after you for the cash, not phoning up is not a silver bullet that will let you keep the cash. If it's an error, the money will be taken away again.
Don't bury your head, ring up or go into a branch and askSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Call the Halifax and confirm what it is, then you'll be able to spend the money confidently (and honestly).0 -
