Keep getting '400' error when running a VBA macro!!

I've written a VBA macro which does some calculations and works fine.
I'm now writing basically the same macro to work on a slightly different sheet but using essentially the same code/structure.
When I run the latter macro I get '400' and a cross in a red circle - with no other hints as to what the problem is.
When I click on 'help' I simply get a blank grey box where you would normally expect there to be information.
I've no idea where the macro could have a problem - it's not even the usual 'debug' error where it takes you to the line of code giving the problem.
This 400 error is very annoying - any clues what it could be?
Thanks
L

Followed one of wirm's links and came up with this http://www.mrexcel.com/board2/viewtopic.php?t=32350 (trying to update a read-only property), also Ms's support site and got this http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;832136 (overflow when transferring data array to cells).
Looks like it's a 'you're trying to overwrite something you shouldn't' message0
