Hi, we reserved a £259 camera kit online last Monday 19th March and collected it and paid for it “in store” the next day from a high street retailer on Tuesday 20th March. The receipt says last day for exchanges or refunds is 10th April.
We have read several reviews about this camera and wish to take it back for a full refund as it won’t do what we’d like.
However….. double checking the returns policy online on their website, the same camera kit just one week one now has £60 off (online only) and is £199. It’s NOT a sale item, rather a “enter this code at checkout to get £60 off this item”.
When we take it back for a refund, will they only refund us the £199 price (which the camera kit is priced at until coincidentally 10th April), or do they have to refund the full £259 price paid?
We have an unwell toddler and have not had chance to return it instore yet, hence looking up returns on their website.
Thank you.

Provided that the store accepts change of mind returns and you take the camera back within the time they stipulate then they should refund the full price that you paid.
The returns policy for online sales might be different to that for buying from a high street store and even though you reserved online, as you paid in the store you made the purchase in that store.
Have you opened the box at all?
If so, a return may well be refused as some places will only accept returns for unopened and unused goods (unless they are faulty).0 -
And when you come to buy the replacement camera, make sure you check the reviews and features BEFORE you buy0

Thanks.
The box has been opened as it wasn't sealed, my previous cameras all came with transparent "security seals" on them, this box didn't. Camera unused, just held, batteries still sealed etc and tripod and case also unused.0 -

Have always had Canon cameras and had to buy this one as previous one broke, zoom lens stuck out and won't retract. Needed one ASAP to take photos of our toddler.
Bought then regretted it, hence refund wanted after reviews read.
Thanks.0 -
Who is the retailer and have you checked their instore returns policy?0

All sorted now, thanks.
Will get full refund instore when we take it in.0
