Solar light battery

In our collection of garden solar lights, in a set of four wall lights, each costing about £9 I think, one of them has just failed. Do you have to replace the rechargeable battery's.

You can do but in my experience it's usually the lights themselves that fail as they are often poor quality. Any 700 mah rechargeable battery should work.0

Try recharging the battery in a charger, at this time of year there is not enough sunlight to give a decent charge to batteries in solar powered devices and they can eventually stop working.0

Being tight, I opened up the light, cleaned contacts, blew out debris and hey presto. It works. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

plug in a normal battery , cover the solar panel if it works replace the battery with one as stated above , otherwise replace the bulb if you can , good luck with that cos it could be the charging circuit.
